Fla. House committee supports bill expanding NP role

The Florida House Select Committee on Health Care Workforce Innovation has approved a bill that would allow nurse practitioners to prescribe controlled substances and provide care independently. Lawmakers who supported the bill said it would help address the state's primary care shortage.
