La. university expands programs to meet computer science job growth

Louisiana Tech University will use $9 million over the next 10 years to quadruple the number of undergraduates with degrees in computer science, computer information systems and cyber-engineering. The effort is being launched, in part, to supply potential employees for a new 800-job Integrated Technology Center slated for the area. "This means huge opportunities for our students and graduates to work with a premier technology company with leading-edge tools to solve some of the world's most complex problems," school President Les Guice said.
