Nasdaq to tackle trading errors with "kill switch"

Nasdaq OMX Group will unveil a "kill switch" designed to automatically freeze trading when potentially problematic trading patterns are spotted. The tool will allow companies to set position limits. As the limits are approached, the companies will receive e-mail warnings; if limits are breached, firms' trading will automatically halt and their open orders canceled.
