Ore.'s biggest private employer puts its name on a soccer stadium

Providence Health & Services, Oregon's largest private employer, has signed a 15-year sponsorship deal with the Portland Timbers soccer team that includes naming rights to the team's stadium. Signage at the newly renamed Providence Park is going up this month. The deal is expected to deliver a boost to community events and help bring back the Special Olympics Oregon Fall Games, which were discontinued in 2008.
