Visa, MasterCard move to expand mobile contactless payments

Visa and MasterCard are promoting an Android service for contactless payment options that would compete with the payment application Isis, which is endorsed by Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile and AT&T. The Android technology moves a smart card security function from the carrier's control to an app on the cloud. The development should clear the way for more apps with contactless payments.
