BSE leads to cheaper beef prices in the U.S.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says lower beef prices will contribute to lower grocery bills overall for consumers. The move by many nations to ban the import of U.S. beef after the discovery of the first U.S. case of BSE in December left a flood of beef on the U.S. market that has driven prices down.
