Ranking Republican questions SEC on Lehman investigation

Sen. Charles E. Grassley, R-Iowa, questioned whether the Securities and Exchange Commission thoroughly investigated insider-trading warnings. The allegations were raised by a whistle-blower at Lehman Brothers, which collapsed in September. "There are many documents that raise suspicions of possible insider trading," Grassley said. "It is unclear whether or not the SEC staff adequately investigated."
