Calif. schools incorporate iPads in the classroom

Students in many Southern California districts are using iPad tablet computers. They make videos in place of written essays, and younger students use iPads to learn their letters. Administrators have few reservations about the device's $600 price tag. "There is not a ton of debate about whether this is a direction the schools are heading," said Annette Alpern, assistant superintendent at Redondo Beach Unified School District.
