Greening a piece of a New Hampshire city

Infrastructure projects in a part of Keene, N.H., were designed with sustainability in mind, according to the engineer who wrote this piece and works for the company that did the work. Porous pavements and rain gardens were installed in a cross section of a major road; the concrete slab under the roadway was repurposed to become aggregate for the road base construction; and low-impact design principles aided rehab of the city's stormwater systems.
