Fitness experts say working out at home can be inexpensive and easy, requiring just a 5-feet-by-5-feet space, a mat, a few pieces of equipment and maybe some videos or online exercise programs. Jessica Matthews of the American Council on Exercise said strength-training equipment, such as medicine balls or sandbells, is a good choice for people who have limited space and money.
