Consumers of all age groups pay attention to online reviews when making purchasing decisions, according to a study by Bazaarvoice. Younger respondents were more willing than older ones to rely on online reviews from anonymous sources, the study found. Both age groups "trusted user-generated content significantly more than they trusted advertising or publicity," writes Rieva Lesonsky.
