CCAs celebrate 10 years as part of the ACC team

The ACC’s Cardiac Care Associate designation and membership group began in 2003 in response to ACC’s focus on team-based cardiovascular care. A decade later, this group has grown to include more than 5,000 nurse practitioners, registered nurses, clinical nurse specialists, physician assistants and clinical pharmacists who focus on cardiovascular medicine. Cardiology sat down with Eileen Handberg, PHD, ARNP, FACC, Sara Brouse, PharmD, and Michael Clark, PA-C, PHD, AACC – active cardiac care team members – to talk about the accomplishments of this group over the last 10 years and the many benefits available to all members of the cardiac care team. In addition, Handberg and Margo Minissian, RN, ACNP-BC, CLS, AACC highlight the various activities and sessions offered for CCA members at ACC.13 in a recent post on the ACC in Touch Blog.
