Legislators to question VA, Defense on integrated EHR project

A hearing will be conducted by the House Veterans' Affairs Committee on Feb. 27 regarding the decision of the Department of Veterans Affairs and Defense Department to end their plans to create an integrated EHR. The agencies' previous efforts to use separate systems to create a universal EHR didn't work, said Committee Chairman Jeff Miller, R-Fla., and it seems "they are repeating past mistakes."
