100% renewable U.S. power is possible, led by wind, scientist says

Stanford University scientist Mark Jacobson presented a proposal on how the U.S. could source 100% of energy demand from renewables, with wind power accounting for much of it. At the American Association for the Advancement of Science convention in Chicago, Jacobson's proposal showed that several states, including Illinois, Colorado, Oklahoma and Wyoming, could source at least 60% of power from wind farms.
