The Trading Partner Alliance of FMI and the Grocery Manufacturers Association has released a guide for best practices in dealing with counterfeiting. The guide includes recommended practices for responding to counterfeiting and a tool for evaluating anti-counterfeit processes. "This study pinpoints the opportunities that manufacturers and retailers have to reduce the chance for counterfeit products from reaching shelves and finding their way into consumers' homes," said Mark Baum, senior vice president of industry relations and chief collaboration officer for FMI.
