NYC budget must address labor contracts, comptroller says

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio's proposed budget doesn't fully account for the city's more than 150 expired labor contracts, said Scott Stringer, the city's comptroller. "It is critical that we resolve these contracts, or we're on our way to resolve these contracts, by June 30," Stringer said. "Our municipal workers have waited too long for a settlement and our taxpayers need to know the true state of the city's fiscal situation."
