Port Authority head apologizes for bridge lane closure

David Samson, chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, said he and his fellow commissioners "are deeply sorry for inconvenience caused to our travelers" by the closing of lanes on the George Washington Bridge. He said the public will get a complete picture of what happened when "established efforts to examine the events" are complete.
