President Obama chose the right place to sign farm bill

President Barack Obama made the right decision to sign the 2014 farm bill into law in Michigan, write MBI International chief business officer Allen Julian and BIO senior policy consultant Peter Pellerito. It was in Michigan three years ago that Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., who led the bipartisan effort to push the farm bill through Congress, launched the "Grow It Here, Make It Here" initiative that called for the inclusion of biobased products and renewable chemicals in the farm bill's energy programs, they noted. "We appreciate President Obama's tribute to Sen. Stabenow, who played an essential role in ensuring that this legislation passed, by finishing the bill where it began," they write.
