Stem cell research program looks to extend funding by $5 billion

A California stem cell research program is seeking $5 billion to continue studies. California Institute for Regenerative Medicine officials plan to pitch their proposal to the public before trying to get an initiative to extend its funding on the state's 2016 ballot.
