Bank loans are at center of shifts in bond market

The continuing yield-curve inversion as well as less-than-compelling returns for junk bonds are leading to some unusual shifts in debt markets. Banks are cutting rates for loans to leveraged-buyout firms, according to Bloomberg News. Investment News notes that bank-loan funds are attracting investors while high-yield bond funds are recording outflows.
