American removes famed stained glass panel from JFK

American Airlines last week began taking apart a 900-pane stained glass panel at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The airline said removing it in one piece and storing it would cost millions. "It's not necessarily the outcome that everyone might have hoped for," an American spokesman said. "But any solutions were extraordinarily expensive, and no one would be able to do that."
