China focuses on M&A regulation of listed companies

As merger and acquisition becomes more important to China's financial markets, the country's regulator has created a committee to over see the M&A activities of its listed firms. "It should be the responsible gatekeeper, which allows high quality resources and trustworthy shareholders into the capital market while keeping dishonest ones out," said Shang Fulin, Chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission.
