Power plant developer wants to capture, sell CO2 for oil production

An Omaha, Neb., company planning a power plant in Texas says it could recover 90% of the carbon dioxide emitted and sell it to oil companies so that they could pipe it underground to pump up oil production. Tenaska filed an air-permit application this week but says it'll decide next year whether to build the $3 billion coal-fired plant.
