FAMU program seeks to address food-animal vet shortage in Fla.

A 2008 AVMA report found that only a handful of veterinarians are available in Florida to treat the thousands of large farm animals in the state. To help address this shortage, Florida A&M University launched its Veterinarian Technology program, which is designed to prepare students to care for farm animals.
