Salt consumption linked to hardening of the arteries

People who consume high levels of salt are at an increased risk of hardened arteries, research suggests. In a study, 35 participants with hypertension were given diets with varying amounts of sodium, and those with the most sodium saw a decrease in artery health and an increase in blood pressure.
