Texas debuts streamlined career track along with graduation changes

Texas schools are working to align the state's streamlined career curriculum with new state graduation requirements that are being implemented simultaneously. Changes to the career track include clustering courses into 16 categories and reducing 600 offerings into 200 structured classes that train students for jobs. The graduation requirements include adding physical-education courses for all students, even those on career and technology tracks.
