$1.3B project atop I-395 would reconnect D.C. neighborhoods

The office market in Washington, D.C., is strong, and a new mixed-use proposal could capitalize on that. Property Group Partners has proposed a $1.3 billion project that would reconnect the communities of Capitol Hill and East End that were divided when Interstate-395 was built. Construction financing is uncertain for the 2.2-million-square-foot venture that would also have offices plus some retail and residential space. The project would be built on a platform atop a section of the highway.
