Analysis: Wages aren't keeping pace with inflation

Company profits are rising along with consumer spending, but that money isn't being funneled into employee salaries, data show. For January, an average worker's pay increased 1.5% from a year ago, but inflation was up 2.3% in that time. Despite the trend, pressure to increase workers' wages is unlikely to come in 2012, said Gregory Levin of BJ's Restaurants.
