How to combat bullying of students with special needs

Helping prevent and intervene in the bullying of students with special needs was the focus of a recent conference for educators, parents and caregivers in the Schaumburg, Ill., area. Presenters at the conference are working with local school districts to combat a rise in bullying behavior. "It's about how not to feed into the bully, not to feed into those threats and harassments," said Dr. Cliff Saper, a psychologist.
