Review examines safety, effectiveness of antipsychotics in youths

A review of 64 trials and 17 cohort studies found insufficient evidence for the comparative advantages and disadvantages of using antipsychotics among children and young adults. However, researchers reported evidence of moderate strength on the comparative effects of second-generation antipsychotics versus SGAs or SGAs versus placebo. The findings appear in the journal Pediatrics.
