Toshiba debuts CMOS RF power amplifier

At the International Solid-State Circuits Conference in San Francisco this week, Toshiba is unveiling a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor radio-frequency power amplifier that it says is capable of removing distortion in wireless transmissions. The chipmaker has reduced the size of the distortion correction circuit in the chip, which is said to make it practical for use in smartphones and other mobile devices.
