Defense contractors will see slower payments from DOD

In an effort to save cash, the Pentagon soon will be slowing payments to its contractors, and defense firms will get notices of the changes shortly. The payment slowdown will provide a few days worth of cash for the department's working capital spending account, and is being combined with a hiring freeze and slowdown in maintenance, contract awards and travel.
