Ga. bookstore will benefit from author's $1 million pledge

The Little Shop of Stories in Decatur, Ga., is one of the businesses that will benefit from author James Patterson's pledge to give away $1 million to independent bookstores. It's not clear exactly how much the Little Shop will get, but the money could help the business realize its goal of creating a special vehicle for traveling to book fairs and schools. "We talked about getting a vehicle, like a pickup truck [or] an old school bus, and converting it into a bookmobile," store owner Dave Shallenberger says.
