GA provides $860M boost to Miss. economy

According to the Alliance for Aviation Across America, general aviation employs 1,560 people in Mississippi. The state is home to 80 public-use airports, and general aviation provides an economic impact of $860 million to the state's economy. "We have a fairly active state from an aviation standpoint," said Thomas Booth, director of the state Department of Transportation’s Aeronautics Division.
