South Korean government, businesses to fund 10-year support for local biotechs

South Korean businesses and the government have agreed to create a $253 million fund to help the country's biotech industry over the next 10 years. The Bio-Star Project aims to support clinical trials and research and development by local biotechs and research institutes, but with an emphasis on getting products to market instead of supporting basic research.
