Study: Bt cotton boosts Indian farmers' income

The U.K. study says farm income in India increased by $124.2 million from 2002 through 2004 because the country adopted insect-resistant Bt cotton, which produced higher crop yields. However, some Indian farmers and nongovernmental organizations say growing certain varieties of Bt cotton has resulted in losses.
