Survey: Net shop mergers, acquisitions highly likely

The Web marketing segment is ripe for consolidation, given the large number of independents handling search and mobile advertising, database, guerilla and buzz marketing, and lead generation, according to a new industry survey from AdMedia Partners. More than 70% of ad professionals reportedly believe there will be a "strong" level of merger and acquisition deals in Net marketing, compared to 11% for the traditional side of the business.
