TomTom profit rises as PND use soars in U.S.

Profit and revenue grew 33% in the fourth quarter at TomTom as the maker of personal-navigation devices reported 400% growth of the devices in the U.S. to more than 5.5 million units. The company, which is the market leader in Europe while holding a 27% share of U.S. sales, predicted 80% growth for the overall PND market in the U.S. this year.
