A TV viewer in Germany would have a hard time avoiding ads for electronics chain Saturn starring the elderly rock star Alice Cooper as the proprietor of an interstellar watering hole. In a recent earnings report, parent company Metro Group credited "successful ad campaigns" with helping to boost sales at Saturn and related retailer Media Markt.
