AVMA says booster shot requirements vary among pets

Although AVMA emphasizes the need to vaccinate pets to safeguard their health, the group says annual boosters aren't always a necessity. "Studies are starting to show that we don't need to vaccinate them every year," said Dr. Ashley Shelton, the group's assistant director. "Some need to be boostered more frequently, others need to be less."
