EPA chief to defend additional climate funding in budget hearings

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lisa Jackson is scheduled today to testify before Congress to defend the government's $10 billion budget request for the agency. The budget includes $43 million in additional funding for EPA programs aimed at curbing greenhouse-gas emissions. Republican lawmakers, who are critics of the White House's climate policies, are expected to oppose the budget request.
