Landscapers turn innovative to deal with weather, economy

Many landscaping companies have been hit hard by the downturn in the economy, and some felt the effects of a drought that was followed by excessive rainfall. Some of them have developed their own nurseries to offset rising costs from vendors. However, business is expected to pick up in the spring, and the warmer weather could mean additional seasonal hiring for some companies.
