Senate removes funds for 2 SBA loan programs from jobs bill

Funding for the Small Business Administration's 7(a) and 504 loans was stripped from the Senate version of a jobs bill scheduled for a vote this week. The action took SBA advocates by surprise. "We thought this was a done deal," said Tony Wilkinson, president and CEO of the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders. "Everybody was on the same page."
