Teacher: Layoffs are possible, but there are ways to prepare

A California middle-school teacher is offering tips for educators in preparation of what she calls "pink slip season" amid many districts facing budget cuts. In this blog post, Heather Wolpert-Gawron says teachers should accept that layoffs are possible, get started on their job search as soon as they are notified, know that there are still good jobs available and try to maintain a positive attitude.
