HUD chief Donovan gains influence after mortgage deal

Shaun Donovan, head of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, is receiving accolades from several attorneys general for his role in the $25 billion settlement between states and banks over foreclosure practices. Mr. Donovan's approach to the settlement reportedly gained steam as the Occupy movement got stronger, despite initial criticism from Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.
