Single-session laser technique lightens tattoos

Exposing tattoos four times to Q-switched laser in a single session lightened tattoos better than a single exposure, completely clearing about 60% of tattoos, and 90% or more of the patients said the procedure was tolerable, the leader of a Greek study reported. The small study suggest that multiple exposures in one session can reduce the number of sessions needed to clear tattoos, but larger studies would be required to confirm the results.
