Frank communication on money can head off problems at home

Communication is key for couples as they manage their financial affairs, writes James Schiavone, pointing to an AICPA survey that found that 27% of couples argue over money issues. "If you can communicate effectively about money, there's less chance of a misunderstanding, or at least you may understand where the other person is coming from," said Tracy Stewart of the AICPA's National Financial Literacy Commission. The AICPA offers specific money tips for all stages of life at its 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy website.
