HP reports fiscal-Q1 earnings; Whitman cites progress

Hewlett-Packard's turnaround strategy is working and there are no plans to split up or sell business units, CEO Meg Whitman said as the company announced that profits were down 16% in its fiscal first quarter, and that revenue decreased by 6%. "It's going to take us time to get back on track, but we've made significant progress over the past year," Whitman said.
