HP's Whitman says low-power server is coming soon

Hewlett-Packard says an energy-efficient server aimed at data-center hyperscale computing is scheduled for release in the second quarter. "We expect this to truly revolutionize the economics of the data center with an entirely new category of server that consumes up to 89% less energy, 94% less space and 63% less cost than a traditional x86 server environment," CEO Meg Whitman said.
