Report: Inbound tourism spending rose 10% in 2012

Foreign tourists spent $168.1 billion in the U.S. in 2012, marking a 10% increase over figures in 2011, says Rebecca Blank, deputy secretary of the Commerce Department. Countries with rising middle-class markets such as India, China and Brazil drove the increase as well as visitor volume, which reached 66 million last year.
